Effective February 15, 2013, Sterling IRB must review and approve the use of telephone consent as part of the initial review of each investigator for a study or thereafter as a change in research activity. A question regarding the use of telephone consent has been added to the Sterling IRB Submission Application for the Investigator/Site. If the Submission Application for the Investigator/Site did not indicate that consent discussions for the study may be conducted via telephone, please submit a Modifications and Amendments Submission Form prior to conducting any consent discussions for the study via telephone so that the use of telephone consent may be reviewed and approved by Sterling IRB.
