Sterling IRB is pleased to announce that it has joined SMART IRB. Through a flexible master IRB reliance agreement, standard operating procedures, and complementary tools and resources, SMART IRB is designed to harmonize and streamline the IRB review process for multisite studies, while ensuring a high level of protection for research participants.

SMART IRB can be used for a range of research, from large, complex clinical trials to two-site collaborations. SMART IRB will enable clinical investigators to obtain trial results faster and, ultimately, advance the development of new diagnostics, treatments, and preventative measures for patients.

With 26 years of experience in providing industry leading IRB review services, Sterling IRB is looking forward to working with Participating Investigators and Institutions of the SMART IRB network. Sterling IRB also offers a web-based portal (SilverLink) that allows institutional contacts to retrieve study-related documents. Furthermore, Sterling IRB will not require additional reliance/authorization agreements from participating SMART IRB institutions.

Please contact Kathye Richards, CIP, Vice President of Client Services, or a member of Sterling’s regulatory compliance department to learn more about the SMART IRB platform and how Sterling IRB can collaborate with you on your next study.
